“Growing up, we had almost no professional family portraits”
"Because of my sister Maria’s behavioral difficulties, my family never knew what each day would bring. What if she was having a bad day? What if she threw a fit at the studio? These fears kept us from booking professional photos. As a studio owner, I’m deeply passionate about lowering the barriers for families like mine—because you deserve portraits of your family that are true works of art.".

Celebrating Strength, Love, and Ability
The Ability Campaign is inspired by the legacy of our studio owner’s sister, Maria. For years, Maria’s family celebrated her incredible abilities and the joy she brought to their lives, even as the world often focused on what she couldn’t do. This campaign is our way of honoring her memory and shining a light on the strength, resilience, and love that define families living with disabilities.
Through powerful portraits, we aim to tell the unique and beautiful stories of individuals and families touched by disabilities. We want to give everyone the opportunity to be seen, heard, and celebrated for who they truly are. If you or someone you know would like to be part of this journey, it is our honor to share your stories.
“You can’t just tell Lindsay to smile and expect her to follow suit.”
"There was so much patience, kindness, and love that went into making this happen. The dedication that the entire team put into our shoot was unbelievable. Everything I saw in Heather’s art (and team) reflects a level of composure that can only be found in a sibling of somebody with a disability. Making all of this happen without making Lindsay or I feel like a burden was a magical experience and we truly felt like royalty. While I know Heather was doing her best to honor Maria by doing this sister shoot for us, I know it wasn’t easy. And words cannot express how truly grateful I am that Maria brought us together in a different light and we were able to connect.".
